AKARNANIA. The Oiniadai. Circa 219-211 BC. AE (Bronze, 22 mm, 7.59 g, 9 h). Laureate head of Zeus to right; behind, uncertain symbol. Rev. OINIAΔAN Head of the river-god Acheloos, in the form of a man-headed bull, to right; behind, monogram of AP. BCD Akarnania 351.1-11. HGC 4, 899. Flan crack and somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.

From a Swiss collection, formed in Ticino from the 1970s to 2000s, privately acquired from G. M. Staffieri.
